Nature Photographer Captures the Wholesome Friendship Between a Snarky Owl and a Google-Eyed Mallinois Doggo

Friendship can come in many forms. For animals, typically friendships stick to their species, especially with dogs, because a lot of good boys have an ounce of prey drive that instinctively tells them to go buck wild on occasion. Well, one doggo has proven everybody wrong by becoming best friends with the most unlikely of smol frens– a sassy ground owl. This good doggo's master, Tanja Brant, is a German nature photographer and works at a rescue for wild owls. While caring for these delicate avian creatures, Tanja has brought along her Mallinois, a highly trained shepherd with a heart of gold. This dog latched onto one of the birds at the rescue pretty quickly, fascinated with its silly head and big ol' eyes. Now the two are inseparable, hanging out in the wild brush lands of the rescue and enjoying each other's peaceful company. This unlikely animal friendship is one for the ages and Tanja has documented their affectionate devotion in the most beautiful photos.
